After you sprain your ankle your body naturally lays down scare tissue to aid the healing process. Unfortunately scare tissue limits the active range of motion and flexibility of the joint, in turn, this causes the joint to re-aggravate. Here at our Encino chiropractic and rehab center we use the Graston Technique to help break up any scare tissue your body has laid down due to the injury. We also perform therapeutic exercises to help with proprioception (balance) to strengthen the ligaments and tendons, as well as exercises to strengthen the muscles around the ankle.
